How do I join Finance Club?

Reach out to us via Telegram or email. We typically open applications at the start of each academic term. You'll be asked a few questions about your background and goals—no formal finance experience required.

Is membership free?

Yes. Joining Finance Club is free. We run workshops, case sessions, and networking events at no cost to members. Some advanced programs may have optional fees, but core membership benefits remain free.

Who can join? Do I need a finance background?

We welcome all students—any major, any year. You don't need prior finance knowledge. Many members join with no experience and grow from there. We value curiosity and commitment over credentials.

What kind of events and workshops do you run?

We run portfolio workshops, case competitions, networking sessions with industry professionals, interview prep sessions, and mentorship programs. We also support and promote the Economics Olympiad. Events are typically held on campus or online.

How does the club connect to careers?

Is Finance Club only for WIUT students?

Economics Olympiad 2026

A free national competition for school students across Uzbekistan

Economics Olympiad 2026 is a free national economics competition open to students from public, private, and Presidential schools across Uzbekistan.

The Olympiad is jointly organized by Westminster International University in Tashkent, Economic Fundamentals Initiative (EFI), and the National Science Olympiads Center (FOM), with the aim of strengthening economic and financial literacy among school students.

Regulations

Academic integrity and participation rules

Academic Integrity and Responsibility

As the School Round is conducted online, teachers and school administrators are fully responsible for ensuring fair, independent, and transparent testing conditions.

Strictly Prohibited

  • ❌ Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools
  • ❌ Use of the internet, external resources, or third-party assistance
  • ❌ Any form of misconduct or test manipulation

Consequences of Violations

If violations are detected:

  • The student and the responsible staff member will be immediately disqualified
  • The names of the student, responsible person, and the school principal will be published on the official Olympiad website
  • The school may be banned from participating in future Olympiads

Registration Requirements

  • Each school may register only once
  • Registration must be completed by a teacher or school administrator
  • Registration deadline: March 8, 2026

Frequently asked questions about the Economics Olympiad

How do I register my school?

Registration is done through our Telegram bot. A teacher or school administrator must register—each school may register only once. The deadline is March 8, 2026.

Who can participate?

School students aged 14 and above from public, private, and Presidential schools across Uzbekistan. Languages of participation: Uzbek, Russian, or English.

Is participation free?

Yes. The Economics Olympiad is completely free for all participants. There are no registration or participation fees.

What are the Olympiad stages?

Three stages: School Round (March 17, 2026, online), National Round (April 6, 2026), and International Final Round (August 10–14, 2026 in Ancient Olympia, Greece). Top performers from the National Round advance to represent Uzbekistan internationally.

What can participants win?

Top 5 finalists win an international preparation bootcamp in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and represent Uzbekistan in Greece. All top participants receive certificates and prizes from WIUT. Every School Round participant receives an electronic certificate.

What topics are tested?

The Olympiad covers economics and financial literacy topics aligned with international standards. Questions test understanding of economic concepts, analysis, and applied thinking—not memorization.

Can I use AI or the internet during the School Round?

No. The use of AI, the internet, external resources, or any form of assistance is strictly prohibited. Teachers and school administrators are responsible for ensuring fair, independent testing conditions. Violations lead to immediate disqualification.
